12 May 2011 The Darkness announce three low-key warm up shows

By way of warming up all the muscles for their massive 'official' return at this year's Download Festival on 10th June and subsequent jaunt around the festival stages of Europe, The Darkness have announced three low-key, intimate UK shows.

Immediately following the end of recording sessions for the band's long dreamt of 3rd album they will begin live duties with an 'as close to hometown show as is possible' gig at the Norwich Waterfront, and a date in Leamington Spa hot on its heels. Then, it’s the turn of London, with Shepherd's Bush Empire being the chosen venue for the band's triumphant return to the capital.

Tickets for the Norwich show are available to the world (or, at least, 700 of the world), Leamington & London tickets are initially ONLY available to those already holding Download tickets (or who purchase Download tickets before 5pm on Friday 13th May). Should there be tickets remaining by close of play Tuesday 17th May, these will be made available via
