05 October 2009 The Cribs - We Share The Same Skies
2009 has proven to be a somewhat pivotal year for The Cribs. The band whetted the appetite early on with a couple of low key shows in Manchester previewing a handful of new songs, the Spring saw the band decamp to the States to record what was to become ‘Ignore The Ignorant’ and the onset of Autumn finally witnessed the scaling of the album charts when ‘Ignore…’ emerged high and proud at Number 8.

Mining what in , recent times has been a rich vein of songwriting prowess, ‘We Share The Same Skies’ is anchored by a refined collusion of sweeping guitar beauty courtesy of Johnny Marr entwined with Ryan Jarman’s flashes of guitar gusto overseen by twin sibling Gary Jarman’s evocative vocal.
The Cribs have always had a voice , it’s just now people have sat up and started to listen….
‘We Share The Same Skies’ is released on 9th November on Wichita Recordings and will be available digitally and on 7” vinyl (WEBB 236s).
