05 November 2010 The Courteeners to cover Yeah Yeah Yeahs on new EP

The Courteeners round off a remarkable year and herald the festive season with the release of the new ‘Electric Lick’ EP, and UK tour in December. With gigs in Leicester, Glasgow, London and Leeds selling out within minutes of going on sale, and a very special homecoming show at Manchester’s 16,000 capacity MEN Arena, the five date run is sure to be a fantastic finale to 2010.

The EP features two tracks from the band's gold selling album 'Falcon', alongside two brand new cuts and a cover version of the Yeah Yeah Yeahs ‘Zero’. Available as a digital release on 5 December alongside a limited 10” vinyl version a day later, the track listing is as follows:

  1. Scratch Your Name Upon My Lips (radio edit)
  2. Three Months
  3. Zero
  4. Lullaby (radio edit)
  5. Swear Down

This year has seen The Courteeners push themselves as never before on the live circuit. With acclaimed shows at Glastonbury, T in the Park, V Festival, a sold out night at Brixton Academy, and Liam Fray’s recent solo acoustic performance at Salford Lads Club, the band have striven to make their live performances compelling, and these final shows will be no different.

Support on all dates comes from (Last Shadow Puppeteer) Miles Kane, with Mercury Prize nominated I Am Kloot as additional special guests in Manchester.
