07 May 2010 The Coral - album news
The Coral are pleased to announce details of their forthcoming album ‘Butterfly House’ released on 12th July 2010, a single ‘1000 Years’ (5th July) and UK dates.
With their first release in 2001 the Liverpool band were immediately marked out as mavericks and have consolidated their critical and commercial acclaim with five Top 10 albums and a slew of hit singles to boot. Their last studio album, 2007’s ‘Roots & Echoes’ was described as “A gem of a record” by The Observer and Q Magazine were moved to say “James Skelly is one of the finest writers, and voices in British music today”. ‘The Singles Collection’ followed in 2008 reminding people just how many classic songs the band had penned to date.
‘Butterfly House’ is the hotly anticipated album which has been talked about and mooted since the band’s studio sessions at the latter end of 2009 and their first since the (amicable) departure of Bill Ryder-Jones. Recorded in both London and Liverpool with the legendary John Leckie at the production controls, ‘Butterfly House’ and ‘1000 Years’ will be released through the Deltasonic label.
