02 June 2009 Muse Kick Off World Tour In Support Of New Album

Muse announce details of a UK tour in September to coincide with the release of their new album,

‘The Resistance’. The band is currently producing their fourth studio album in Italy, which will be mixed with Mark ‘Spike’ Stent (Massive Attack, U2, Oasis). Last week the band unexpectedly revealed the album’s title via their Twitter site.

This short tour will kick off at the Sheffield Arena on September 4th and finish with two nights at London’s 02 Arena. It goes without saying that fans can expect an ambitious and powerful show from these three friends from Teignmouth in Devon; remember they were the first act to play the newly built Wembley Stadium back in 2007. The 140,000 lucky fans in attendance were treated to the band rising from the middle of the venue, floating acrobatics, giant exploding balloons and of course, an unbelievably spectacular set from one of the most ambitious live acts in the world today. The Guardian’s reviewer was moved to comment, “few are more suited than MUSE to take on what Pele described as the cathedral of football” in a rare 5/5 review.

Muse is also very proud to announce that they will be the first band to ensure that the ticket price for this tour is set. The tickets will cost £41.50 and this will include all booking fees; no fan will pay anymore than this price regardless of which outlet they buy from and no secondary ticket agency can sell these tickets for more than the set price.
