29 November 2010 Manic Street Preachers - new single ‘Some Kind Of Nothingness’ and digital live EP
Manic Street Preachers announce details of a new single to be released on December 6th on Columbia Records. 'Some Kind Of Nothingness', featuring the unmistakable voice of Ian McCulloch will be the
second single to be taken from their tenth studio album 'Postcards From A Young Man'. The track will be released on 2 x CD and 7" all featuring brand new tracks.
In addition and to round off a remarkable year, a very special live digital EP will be available from December 5th. The EP features tracks from the band’s recent UK tour and includes classics from their huge catalogue such as ‘Yes’ and ‘Sleepflower’ alongside versions of the new single.
The track listing is as follows:
‘Some Kind Of Nothingness’ - Original version
‘Some Kind Of Nothingness’ - Live from Later
‘Masses Against The Classes’ - Live from Newport Centre
‘Sleepflower’ - Live from Manchester Apollo
‘Yes’ - Live from Manchester Apollo
‘Postcards From A Young Man’ was released in September to enormous acclaim and debuted at No. 3 in the UK charts. Since its release the band has toured extensively throughout the UK; they played shows in Australia earlier this month and are now in touring in Japan.
Due to circumstances beyond the band’s control their two sold out nights scheduled for London’s Brixton Academy October 28th and 28th had to be postponed. Happily these shows are now confirmed for January 21st and 22nd. All tickets for the original shows are valid.
